BOY DIES DURING WORLD CUP VICTORY CELEBRATIONS

MADRID, JULY 20 /SRNA/ - A 13-year-old boy was killed in Ciudad Rodrigo during celebrations of Spain's victory in the FIFA World Cup final.

The tragedy occurred when the upper part of a structure collapsed and fell onto fans celebrating near the fountain at the Glorieta del Árbol Gordo roundabout, Spain's public broadcaster RTVE reported.

Two people were taken to the Ciudad Rodrigo Health Centre, one of whom was a minor who later died in hospital.

The City Council declared three days of mourning.
