COPENHAGEN, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Denmark is deeply involved in the conflict in Ukraine and currently serves as a logistics hub for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian Ambassador to Denmark Vladimir Barbin said.

He said that Copenhagen's intention to order Patriot missiles from Washington for subsequent transfer to Kyiv was nothing less than "another indication that Denmark is not focused on a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict, but rather on financing the continuation of hostilities."

"Copenhagen's involvement in the conflict is enormous," Barbin said in an interview with TASS.

He said that Denmark, which was among the first NATO countries to supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets and arrange direct funding for companies in Ukraine's military-industrial complex, now serves as a production base for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In addition, Barbin stressed that Denmark provides "a significant amount of grant-based military assistance to the Kyiv regime," which has already exceeded 10.5 billion euros.

According to him, Copenhagen is trying to unite Danish society on an anti-Russian basis.

"Scaremongering about the 'Russian threat', including unfounded accusations that we are waging a hybrid war and preparing acts of sabotage, has become a favorite tool in the West, including Denmark, for manipulating public opinion and rallying it against Russia," Barbin warned.

He stressed that "under these circumstances, Copenhagen has no alternative but to pursue its Russophobic plans, including prolonging the bloodshed in Ukraine, and, instead of addressing pressing socioeconomic challenges, to finance a rapid increase in military spending and preparations for a potential conflict with Russia."
