27 DIES IN ARMY-HOUTHI CLASHES

AMAN, SEPTEMBER 3 /SRNA/ - The Yemeni army and the Houthis movement have lost 27 people in clashes in southwestern Yemen at dawn, a military source in Yemen told RIA Novosti.

The source says that intensive battle is ongoing west of the city Taizz, and that 12 soldiers and 15 Houthis died so far.

More than 30 people were wounded.

The Houthis launched a large-scale offensive on Yemeni army positions in the Maqbanah and Mawza areas west of Taizz, using drones and firing artillery and rockets.

According to the source, Yemeni forces also managed to capture Houthi militants, shoot down three drones and destroy enemy military equipment.
