EUROPEAN RAFTING CHAMPIONSHIP OPENED

BANJA LUKA, MAY 27 /SRNA/ - The European Rafting Championship "Banja Luka-Vrbas 2026" officially opened in Banja Luka this evening.

Until Saturday, May 30, Banja Luka will host 38 rafting teams from 15 national teams across Europe, once again confirming its place on the map of top sporting events.

Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić said at the opening ceremony that the European Rafting Championship proves that all obstacles can be overcome through good organization.

Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić said the sporting event had positioned Banja Luka on the global sports map.

Banja Luka City Manager Mirna Savić Banjac welcomed participants in the sporting event and stressed that the city administration has supported the competition for years.

The ceremony at the "Kanjon" Rafting Center in Karanovac was also attended by representatives of the Republika Srpska Government, the City of Banja Luka, SNSD Organizational Secretary Igor Dodik and representatives of the sports and public sectors.
