AFTER ALMOST QUARTER OF CENTURY, ĐOKOVIĆ, NADAL AND FEDERER NO LONGER IN TOP 10

NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 14 /SRNA/ - After the greatest player in history Novak Đoković dropped from fifth to 12th place in the ATP rankings, neither him nor Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are among the top 10 for the first time since 2002.

Đoković was eliminated in the first round of the US Open 15 days ago by Argentina's Mariano Navone, marking his earliest exit from a Grand Slam since the 2006 Australian Open. This is also the first time Đoković has been eliminated in the opening round of the US Open.

"I am proud of all my achievements in the past, but now it is about the present," Đoković stressed after his defeat in New York. The greatest tennis player of all time is outside the top 10 for the first time since July 2018.

With 24 Grand Slam titles, Đoković is the most decorated player of all time and has spent a record 428 weeks at the top of the ATP rankings.

Federer and Nadal retired in 2022 and 2024, respectively.

According to the latest ATP rankings, Italy's Jannik Sinner is in first place, followed by this year's US Open champion Alexander Zverev, while Spain's Carlos Alcaraz is third.
