ŽUPLJANIN: SRPSKA - SERBIA RELATIONS NEVER BEEN STRONGER

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 11 /SRNA/ – The Serb people, in the days celebrating the Unity of Serbs, freedom and the flag, must be proud of the achievements in Republika Srpska - Serbia relations, which are continuously strengthening the unity of Serbs, Slobodan Župljanin, head of the Organisation of Republika Srpska Army Senior Officers, told SRNA.

"It seems that they have never been stronger, which is unequivocally demonstrated by the pan-Serbian unity, dignity and togetherness expressed in paying tribute and gratitude to General Ratko Mladić, who was killed by the satanic hand of the Hague Tribunal," Župljanin said.

He stressed that the Serb people is proud of their ancestors and history, as well as of their flag, which is a symbol of the freedom and unity of all Serbs, wherever they live.

Župljanin has stated it is extremely important that Republika Srpska and Serbia, both this year and in the future, jointly mark September 15 – the Day of the Unity of Serbs, Freedom and the National Flag in remembrance of the date when the glorious Serb army began the breakthrough of the Salonika Front.

"This is an opportunity to remember all our glorious ancestors and our history and, by following the path they walked, to ensure the eternal existence of Republika Srpska and Serbia and Serb people's life in freedom," Župljanin said.

According to him, Serbs view their flag as a tricolour thread that connects them in the past, present and future.

"The Serb flag, coat of arms and anthem are inseparable and eternal symbols through which we will build a better future," Župljanin said.

He stressed that awareness of unity, freedom and the flag represents an indestructible foundation for the defence of Republika Srpska and the freedom of the Serb people.

The Organisation of Republika Srpska Army Senior Officers and all patriots of Republika Srpska extended their sincere congratulations to the citizens of Republika Srpska and Serbia on the occasion of the joint holiday, the Day of the Unity of Serbs, Freedom and the National Flag.

Throughout Republika Srpska and Serbia, September 15 is celebrated as the Day of the Unity of Serbs, Freedom and the National Flag.
