WITH LAVROV ABOUT UPCOMING UN SECURITY COUNCIL SESSION

MINSK, OCTOBER 28 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik said that he discussed the upcoming UN Security Council session with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and agreed the Operation ALTHEA in BiH should be extended, which Russia will support.

"Previously, we had objections that referred to the fact that this mission in the past went beyond its mission description, yielding the demands of Muslims in BiH, which will be discussed within the talks at the Security Council session," Dodik said after the meeting.

He noted that they also discussed the position of the High Representative, who is not a legitimate High Representative.

"It has already been known that we, together with representatives of the Russian Embassy in New York, will be working on harmonizing the report in order to we have a joint approach," Dodik told RTRS.

He emphasized that he also spoke with Lavrov "about developments in Republika Srpska," informing the Russian foreign minister that the situation in Srpska is stable.

"They are perfectly aware of all the details of the politically motivated process," Dodik stressed, expressing his belief that this issue will also be raised at the Security Council session.

He pointed out that Lavrov has a deep understanding of the details, that the discussion went excellently, and that they agreed on all outstanding issues.

He has stated that there is an issue of official Sarajevo's decadent behavior, which maintains a negative stance toward Russia, emphasizing that Republika Srpska remains firm in its position not to impose any sanctions on the Russian Federation, and that it will, as much as possible, work to prevent Muslims’ attempts to deliver weapons to Ukraine.

He also recalled official Sarajevo's lies on NATO membership, noting that Republika Srpska does not accept joining NATO in view of the bombing and everything that happened.

Dodik says it is important for such meetings to be held continuously, recalling that their previous meeting took place in Moscow, now in Minsk, during the International Security Conference.

He has added that today's meeting was also an opportunity to thank Lavrov and to discuss bilateral and other relations that are very important for Srpska.

"We remain at a high level of strategic cooperation," Dodik emphasized.
