VUJIČIĆ: U.S. ATTITUDE TOWARD SRPSKA CHANGED THANKS TO CVIJANOVIĆ, DODIK AND MINIĆ

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 23 /SRNA/ – Željka Cvijanović, the Serb BiH Presidency member, has made a significant diplomatic breakthrough with the US administration, resulting in the United States now having a completely new and more positive attitude toward Republika Srpska, SNSD MP in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Miroslav Vujičić told SRNA.

"Since the Dayton Peace Agreement, the Bosniaks, particularly their current representatives such as Denis Bećirović, have not changed their attitude toward Serbs, Republika Srpska, or Serbia. Instead of understanding that BiH exists thanks to the Dayton Peace Agreement – two entities and three constituent peoples - they use every opportunity to provoke both an internal crisis and a crisis with Serbia," Vujičić warned.

However, while Bećirović is doing what he is doing, Vujičić said, Cvijanović has, on the other hand, made a significant breakthrough with the US administration, therefore the attitude toward Republika Srpska and the Serb people has consequently changed considerably.

He recalled that during her current visit to the United States, Cvijanović met with numerous US officials, including Susie Wiles, US President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, who has considerable influence in the United States and holds a position comparable in rank to a secretary of state.

"For the first time, two members of the BiH Presidency attended the reception at the United Nations in New York hosted by Trump. Until now, it was always BiH Presidency Chair who happened to be serving in that position at the time of the UN General Assembly session," Vujičić said.

He emphasized that Bosniaks are attempting to minimize Cvijanović's diplomatic achievements, or mislead their electorate in order to portray them as insignificant.

"However, the time has come when the U.S. attitude toward Republika Srpska has changed significantly, thanks to Željka Cvijanović, President Milorad Dodik and Prime Minister Savo Minić, as well as the contacts we have in the United States, Israel, and Russia," Vujičić said, adding that this is evident from recent decisions and the lifting of sanctions.
