KOZARSKA DUBICA, OCTOBER 21 /SRNA/ – The Donja Gradina Memorial Zone Public Institution has published a documentary database of audio-visual testimonies about crimes committed against Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/, which the institution has collected over the course of its two-and-a-half decades of existence.
"Survivors' testimonies preserve the personal memories and experiences of those who lived through these events, bearing witness to the genocide against Serbs in the NDH. The database is continuously updated with new testimonies, preserving these invaluable accounts for future generations," Tanja Tuleković, director of the Donja Gradina Memorial Zone Public Institution, told SRNA.
She said that the audio-visual testimonies had been published on the institution’s website, www.jusp-donjagradina.org.
"At this stage, 34 testimonies have been published from people originating from the pre-war areas of Bosanska Dubica and Bosanska Gradiška, as well as Hrvatska Dubica, Prijedor and Bihać. The database will be continuously expanded with new testimonies and remain accessible to the public," Tuleković said.
The Donja Gradina Memorial Zone Site Public Institution was established in 2002 to preserve the memory of the victims of the Jasenovac concentration camp, conduct research and present scientific findings on Ustasha crimes and genocide committed at the camp and in the NDH, maintaining the memorial grounds.
