JERUSALEM, JANUARY 25, SRNA – The Acting President of Republika Srpska, Ana Trišić-Babić, and the Laeder of the SNSD party, Milorad Dodik, are on a multi-day official visit to Israel, where they will hold a series of important meetings with Israeli officials.
A meeting with the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog, is scheduled for tomorrow, as well as attendance at a lecture on the Jewish philosopher and writer Ze’ev Jabotinsky.
President Herzog will deliver a speech, followed by a lecture by the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Michael Dale Huckabee, entitled "An Unbreakable Alliance: A Legacy of Courage, a Future of Hope – Jabotinsky’s Enduring Message in the 21st Century."
The Republika Srpska delegation will also attend the International Conference on Combating Antisemitism tomorrow, which will be ceremonially opened at 7:30 PM.
The opening address will be delivered by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, followed by an address from the Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, Amichai Chikli.
On the second day of the visit, Tuesday, a meeting is scheduled at the U.S. Embassy in Israel, followed by a meeting with His Beatitude Theophilos III, the Patriarch of Jerusalem.
In the afternoon, a meeting will be held with Benjamin Zumer, Director General for Corporate Affairs and Joint Ventures at Chevron Mediterranean Limited.
On Wednesday, January 28, a meeting is planned with Knesset member Ze’ev Elkin from the New Hope party, followed by a meeting with the Prime Minister of the State of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.
As part of the continued visit, meetings are also planned with the Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, Amichai Chikli, and the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eli Cohen.
On Thursday, January 29, at a ceremonial event, the Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, will present SNSD Leader, Milorad Dodik, with a very significant award – the medal for fostering good relations with Israel, the "Jabotinsky Prize for Liberty."
Following the ceremony, the Republika Srpska delegation will meet with Israel’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gideon Sa’ar.
The Republika Srpska delegation also includes the Serb deputy in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Radovan Kovačević
