TREBINJE, DECEMBER 7 /SRNA/ – Nemanja Milošević, a German and English language teacher at the Jovan Dučić Grammar School in Trebinje, has been awarded a Fulbright scholarship, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of education.
The award is presented each year worldwide with the aim of improving and expanding knowledge in modern technologies and modernizing education.
Milošević told SRNA that this year there are a total of 187 scholarship recipients, selected from more than 3,200 candidates worldwide, which, as he noted, highlights the significance of the achievement.
He emphasized that the scholarship allowed him to spend two months in the United States, gain new knowledge and experiences that he will apply in his teaching, with the goal of modernizing the lessons he provides to students.
“It is a very intensive programme with a focus on media literacy, new trends in education, artificial intelligence, and many other areas that will certainly enhance our work with students,” Milošević said.
He believes that teachers are obliged, in order to make classes more engaging, to incorporate new content that is current and aligned with the present moment.
“That is the priority, and in addition, there is the use of artificial intelligence, which is a trend of today’s world. Students are well informed about these possibilities; however, teachers need to devote themselves to this, to make their work easier, but also to bring it closer to the students,” Milošević emphasized.
