MOSCOW, MAY 9 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan said he intends to discuss the expansion of bilateral cooperation during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Karan stated that comprehensive cooperation with Russia, which has lasted for many years in all areas, will continue, especially in the fields of the economy, energy, transport, education, and medicine.
"Allow me to remind you that we have signed a large number of memorandums, protocols, and agreements with the Russian Federation, and we will consider where we can further develop and continue our cooperation," Siniša Karan told TASS in his first interview with a Russian media outlet.
Karan said that he would discuss with Russian President Vladimir Putin the main political issues relevant to the creation of a new multipolar world.
"Of course, we will also present our position on the military operation being carried out by the Russian Federation, which for us is completely justified in terms of its goals, primarily regarding the protection of the Russian people in Ukraine," Karan said.
Karan thanked Russia for its support of the Dayton Peace Agreement and stressed that this is one of the most important issues because it guarantees the constitutional position of Republika Srpska and equal rights for the Serb people alongside the other constituent peoples of BiH.
