BANJA LUKA, APRIL 22 /SRNA/ – The Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić has stressed today that the Serb people have always fought for freedom and stood on the side of truth and justice.
"We are the descendants of those who died for freedom and liberation. With the establishment of Republika Srpska, we have finally drawn a line under the fact that Banja Luka will never again need to be liberated, because it is forever free", Stevandić told reporters during the marking of Banja Luka City Day.
He reminded that the Serb people have always achieved freedom through great sacrifice.
"Banja Luka belongs to all its citizens, regardless of religion. Banja Luka is the western capital of all Serbs and its future should be free. Glory to our heroes!" Stevandić said.
He also congratulated citizens on Banja Luka City Day.
Banja Luka marks City Day in remembrance of April 22, 1945, when the city was liberated from occupying forces during World War II.
