STEVANDIĆ: FOREIGN JUDGES IN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT WILL WITHDRAW ON THEIR OWN

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 26 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandić said foreign judges in the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH were agents for provoking war and that their turn would come as well, with them ultimately stepping down on their own.

Stevandić described as schizophrenic the decision by the incomplete Constitutional Court of BiH to "ban payments from the Republika Srpska budget" under a contract concluded on September 6, 2025, as well as budget financing of Srpska's lobbying activities, but said Republika Srpska would ultimately prevail.

"This is complete schizophrenia and has no basis in law whatsoever. It proves that Republika Srpska should have nothing to do with this Constitutional Court and that we will continue our fight against it and win," Stevandić told reporters in Banja Luka today.

Stevandić said they had forced Christian Schmidt out.

"As a result of our efforts, two foreign members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments also withdrew. As a result of our efforts, the foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH will withdraw as well, because they will be ashamed of taking part in conflicts by siding with one people against another," Stevandić pointed out.

He said that this was not the Constitutional Court of BiH but an agency for provoking war in BiH.

"Every foreign judge who does this is an agent and does not care what happens here. He stirs things up so that we turn on one another, and then leaves. We succeeded in forcing Christian Schmidt out, and the turn of all the foreigners in the Constitutional Court will come as well. This is not a threat, they will withdraw on their own,” the Republika Srpska National Assembly speaker emphasized.

Stevandić said his four-year term as speaker of the Republika Srpska parliament had been difficult because, on the one hand, he had constantly been subjected to targeting and false allegations portraying him as a criminal and linking him to the "red van," which he said could have been used to create a pretext for a terrorist attack against him.

"On the other hand, there was an attempt to prevent me, as president of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, from carrying out the constitutional will of my people and performing my constitutional duties, and in the end this turned into arrest warrants," Stevandić said.

He said the final outcome was that Christian Schmidt, whom he described as the person carrying this out, had gone home and was now waiting to see whether he might end up on some blacklist or in prison over what he had done, or face prosecution in Germany.

He added that Schmidt did not have legal protection, but political protection, and claimed that once he lost it he would end up in prison.

"That will be the real triumph for all of us whom he wanted to imprison by changing laws however he pleased, so that we would end up in jail for refusing to carry out his personal will," Stevandić said.

He also said there had been hidden intentions to take state property away from Republika Srpska, and that Republika Srpska officials had been targeted because they were defending Republika Srpska’s state property, but added that Republika Srpska would ultimately prevail.
