TEL AVIV, SEPTEMBER 17 /SRNA/ — A delegation of Republika Srpska, led by President Milorad Dodik, met today in Tel Aviv with Israeli hero Mose Levy, a friend of Republika Srpska and the Serbian people.

"It is nice to be with Mose Levy again, a hero of Israel, a great personal friend of mine, a great friend of Republika Srpska and a brother to the Serbian people," Dodik wrote on X.

According to Dodik, Levy is a man who showed extraordinary courage in the most difficult moments, and who today, through his attitude toward the Serbian people and his respect for Serbian victims, confirms that true friendships are measured not by words, but by deeds.

"We are proud of the friendship that connects the Serbian and Jewish peoples - a friendship built on respect, shared remembrance and an understanding of the price of freedom," Dodik stated.

Mose Levy is an Israeli military hero and a veteran of the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He was seriously wounded while fighting Egyptian forces and lost one arm, but continued to fight.

For his bravery during the war, he was awarded the Medal of Valor, one of Israel's highest military decorations.

As president of Republika Srpska, Dodik awarded Levi the Order of the Flag of Republika Srpska with a Golden Wreath in April last year for fostering friendly relations between Republika Srpska and Israel.

The Republika Srpska delegation currently in Israel also includes Ana Trišić Babić, acting director of the Office for International Cooperation, and Minister of Internal Affairs Željko Budimir.

Dodik announced a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today.
