President of Republika Srpska has started his visit to Israel.

TEL AVIV, SEPTEMBER 16 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska delegation, headed by President Milorad Dodik, has arrived in Tel Aviv, where it will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tomorrow.

The Republika Srpska delegation also includes Republika Srpska Minister of Interior Željko Budimir and Acting Director of the Republika Srpska International Cooperation Office Ana Trišić-Babić.

Trišić-Babić told SRNA that the visit comes at a time when Republika Srpska - Israel relations are gaining an increasingly strong economic dimension.

“Important political and institutional steps are behind us, and ahead of us is the task of turning this capital of trust into concrete cooperation. We want to connect Israeli knowledge, technologies and capital with the potential of Republika Srpska, which will result in investments and projects that will have real value for our economy,” Trišić-Babić said.

She recalled that the Israel Chamber of Commerce in Republika Srpska was recently opened in Banja Luka with the support of Prime Minister Netanyahu, and that the ceremony was also attended by Israeli Minister for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli.

On that occasion, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Republika Srpska International Cooperation Office and the Israel Chamber of Commerce in Republika Srpska, focusing on economic, investment and technological cooperation.

“The friendship between Republika Srpska and Israel has strong foundations. Our task now is to build visible and long-lasting business, investments and partnerships on those foundations,” Trišić-Babić said.
