MOSCOW, MAY 7 /SRNA/ - The team of the News Agency of Republika Srpska – SRNA will cover the Victory Day Parade on Saturday, May 9, in Moscow, which will also be attended by the highest officials of Republika Srpska.

For coverage of this year's parade, more than 1,000 accreditations have been issued to journalistic teams from Russia and abroad, including media outlets from Republika Srpska.

The SRNA team consists of journalist Nataša Čeremidžić and cameraman Branko Drobnjak.

For accredited media, reporting from the Victory Day Parade represents not only a professional assignment but also an opportunity to bring the global public closer to the atmosphere of one of the most significant dates in Russian history.

Victory Day is marked in memory of May 9, 1945, when the capitulation of Nazi Germany brought an end to the Second World War in Europe.

For Russians, this is one of the most important historical dates, as there is no family in Russia whose member did not perish in the war.

The victory over fascism was achieved through tremendous sacrifices by the Russian army and people. Around 27 million people were killed, and millions were left disabled.

The first Victory Day Parade on Red Square in Moscow, held in honor of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, took place on June 24, 1945.
