SERBS AND SRPSKA WILL NEVER JOIN NATO

MOSCOW, APRIL 10 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said that Republika Srpska is against NATO membership and will not join the alliance.

"We are against moving toward NATO membership. Due to the nature of our geographical position, we have to maintain some contacts and cooperation with NATO, but we have clearly told them that we do not wish to become members of the organization," Dodik told TASS.

Dodik reminded that NATO bombed the Serbs twice - first in Republika Srpska, and then in Serbia - causing serious material and human losses to the Serbian people.

"What we painfully remember is that they used depleted uranium, which led to long-term consequences and an increase in cancer rates, even among newborns," Dodik explained.

The President of Republika Srpska emphasized that this was not merely a NATO military intervention, but a war crime, and that Serbs feel uneasy whenever they hear about that military alliance.

He believes that U.S. President Donald Trump will be able to put things into some kind of framework.
