BANJA LUKA, MAY 3 /SRNA/ - Nina Sajić, associate professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the Banja Luka University, told SRNA that the biggest challenge for Republika Srpska, as well as BiH, is the constant attempt to unitize BiH by creating a centralized state under the guise of European reforms and integrations, noting that these attempts could call into question the existence of BiH.

"It is, first of all, a challenge for Republika Srpska, also BiH itself, because these attempts will lead to further disintegration, and perhaps problems that can call into question the existence of BiH," Sajić stated in his SRNA podcast.

Sajić says that the crisis of trust in international law is also evident, stressing that Republika Srpska has always been guided by the logic that this law is above all else.

"However, we witness that this international law is not only selectively interpreted, but also selectively applied. Of course we should, and will continue, to try to achieve our positions and interests through legitimate means and institutions, from the UN onwards. But we are also aware that this international law often only applies to small states or small peoples in a numerical situation", stated Sajić.

She pointed out that Srpska, regardless of the deep crisis of internal and international law, will continue to rely on the institutions of international organisations, but will also achieve its goals with the help of great powers.

"The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik always insists on respecting international law and every other right, but at the same time he tries to realize the interests of Republika Srpska through some big powers such as Russia and China, but also smaller regional ones such as Hungary in our context, and he is again aware of the fact that the USA is still an important player and is re-establishing relations with the USA," Sajić said.

According to her, Srpska should continue to use other contacts and good relations that the president of Srpska has established with Hungary, Slovakia, Russia and China.
