REFERENDUM ON BiH COURT VERDICT AND CEC DECISION ON OCTOBER 18 OR 25

BANJA LUKA, August 20 /SRNA/ - The referendum regarding the verdict of the Court of BiH and the decision of the Central Election Commission to revoke the mandate of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik will be held on October 18 or 25, it was decided this evening at a meeting of the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska, ATV reported.

The date will be included in the Decision on calling the referendum, which will be discussed on Friday, August 22, at the session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, the television noted.

This timeline leaves sufficient room for the amendments to the Law on Referendum and Citizens' Initiative, as well as the Decision on the referendum, to pass all levels of decision-making - the National Assembly and the Council of Peoples, and the Constitutional Court of Republika Srpska, in case a vital national interest issue is raised.
