RAKOVIĆ: SERBIAN UNITY AWARENESS SHOULD BE BUILT FROM KINDERGARTEN

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 27 /SRNA/ – Historian Aleksandar Raković told SRNA that awareness of the unity of the Serbian people should be built among children from kindergarten, and that history textbooks should strengthen knowledge about Serbs outside Serbia.

"In future unified textbooks, knowledge about Serbs outside Serbia should be enhanced, including Republika Srpska and Montenegro and all other areas where Serbs live and where they have lived," Raković emphasized.

According to him, strengthening awareness of the unity of the Serbian people is essentially important, because the Serbian people are one and indivisible.

He points out that today the Serbian people are surrounded by imposed borders that were created against their will.

"In 1918, the Serbian people created a unified state, and then foreigners broke up that state in order to divide them. These borders should be interpreted as temporary, until the establishment of the regular state of affairs, which is once again a united Serbian state," Raković said.
