PUTIN'S SUPPORT IS OF KEY IMPORTANCE FOR POLITICAL SUBJECTIVITY OF SRPSKA

STUTTGART, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - Head of the Representation of Republika Srpska in Germany Mićo Ćetković assessed for SRNA that the support of the Russian authorities is of key importance for preserving the stability and political subjectivity of Republika Srpska.

Ćetković pointed out that this is evidenced by the frequent meetings between the President of the Republic Milorad Dodik and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, which is a significant signal in the context of the current political pressures on Serbia.

He also pointed out that Putin's support regarding the issue of Christian Schmidt is only a confirmation of what Republika Srpska has been saying for a long time, namely that Schmidt was not elected in accordance with the procedures prescribed by international law and his work represents a violation of sovereignty and the Dayton Peace Accords.

Ćetković pointed out that the recent meeting between Dodik and Putin in Moscow is another confirmation of the consistent and principled politics of Republika Srpska on the international stage, and confirms stable relations and mutual respect between Srpska and Russia.

"The continuity of such meetings clearly shows that Republika Srpska has partners who respect its constitutional position and its interests, especially in challenging times of global turmoil," said Ćetković.

He pointed out that Dodik is one of the few politicians who often meets Putin, as one of the most important world leaders, which further confirms the importance of Republika Srpska on the international scene.

"President Dodik leads the right politics for the benefit of all citizens of the Republic. We continue to lead a responsible policy of dialogue and cooperation with everyone who respects our position and constitutional rights, and Dodik's meeting with President Putin only further confirms that course," Ćetković stressed.
