PRESIDENT DODIK DONATES FOR TREATMENT OF BOY FROM KALESIJA, CONCLUDES HUMANITARIAN CAMPAIGN

BANJA LUKA, MAY 23 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik approved a payment of BAM 102,000 from the President’s Office budget for the treatment of 14-year-old Seudin Husić from Kalesija.

The funds have already been transferred to the account of the citizens' association "Humanitas," which organized the fundraising campaign for the boy’s treatment, thereby securing the full required amount of BAM 126,457, said the association's president, Aleksandar Došenović.

He added that the procedure for transferring the money to the hospital in Turkey is now beginning, after which the exact date of Seudin’s and the accompanying persons' departure, as well as the flight ticket reservations, will be finalized.

Došenović said that on May 17, around 22:00, he was contacted by phone by the President of Republika Srpska, who wanted to get information regarding the fundraising campaign to support the treatment of 14-year-old Seudin.

“After I explained the key details to him, the president expressed his wish to support our humanitarian campaign and promised to transfer the necessary amount in the coming days to complete the campaign and ensure that Seudin can go for treatment as soon as possible, because, as he emphasized, the child must be helped,” emphasized Došenović.

He added that all the funds are already in the account and the campaign is complete.

“On behalf of all 335 members of ‘Humanitas’ and myself, we want to express our gratitude and admiration for the actions of Mr. Milorad Dodik, who once again has shown his generosity. Additionally, we are extremely thankful to every member, supporter, and kind-hearted person who contributed to this campaign.

Together, we managed to raise all the necessary funds within 10 days, which is a tremendous achievement. We still have many tasks ahead regarding the transfer of money and organizing the travel for Seudin and his accompanying persons, and we remain hopeful for the best,” emphasized Došenović.
