POLICE ORCHESTRA HELD CONCERT FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 26 /SRNA/ - The Police Orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs /MIA/ of Republika Srpska held a concert today in Banja Luka for elementary school students from the first to the fourth grade. The repertoire featured compositions tailored to their age group.

The Head of the Police Orchestra of the Republika Srpska MIA Jelena Atlagić said that holding concerts for children was a wonderful idea that should be developed throughout the entire Republika Srpska.

"In December, we started playing for children, and it turned out that every school is interested. The children have given perfect feedback, and the concert was talked about for days afterward, both at school and home. This is an idea that should be developed throughout the entire Republika Srpska, to visit all cities and schools," Atlagić told reporters.

The conductor of the Police Orchestra of the Republika Srpska MIA Dušan Pokrajčić emphasized that they begin by playing the anthem of Republika Srpska, "My Republic," and that they teach the children how to behave during its performance.

"After that, we perform compositions suitable for children. We play Disney compositions and the standard children's repertoire. After the concert in December and the great experience, we decided to continue this project," said Pokrajčić.

Srđan Vesić, a member of the Police Orchestra, says that he and his colleagues felt the great support of the children, and that the energy they show is indescribable.

The concert at the Banski Dvor Cultural Center was held as part of the program marking Republika Srpska Police Day.
