PEOPLE GRANTS OFFICE TO SRPSKA PRESIDENT, NOT BiH CEC

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ – The Organisation of Republika Srpska Army Senior Officers has stated today that the presidential term in Republika Srpska is granted solely by the people of Srpska through elections, which can only be taken away by the people at the elections, not by any administrative action of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH.

The organisation emphasized that the CEC is authorized only to issue a certificate confirming the gaining or loss of a term, not to grant or revoke it.

Given that 2026 is the next regular election year, the Organisation declared its opposition to any attempt to organize extraordinary or snap elections, asserting that only the people can make that decision, no one else.

"We remain persistent and consistent on the path you are leading Republika Srpska all the way to final freedom. We expect you to continue doing so with even greater enthusiasm until the next regular elections; you will find full and genuine support in the RSA senior officers and other patriotic forces we gather. We are confident that you will never, and we will never, accept surrender, sale, or betrayal," the statement said.

The RSA senior officers also declared they do not accept the Court of BiH's judgments in what they called a politically staged trial against the legitimate President of Republika Srpska, who they stress holds office solely by the will of the Serb people.
