KOZARSKA DUBICA, APRIL 16 /SRNA/ - As part of commemorating the 80th anniversary of the breakout of the last group of Jasenovac camp inmates, a new exhibition was organised in the outdoor space of the Donja Gradina Memorial Zone.
The director of Donja Gradina Memorial Zone, Tanja Tuleković, told SRNA that the new display of photographs and historical documents proves the suffering of Serbs, Jews and Roma.
"The photographs show the suffering of the people at the hands of the Ustasha ideology, whose goal was the extermination of the Serb, Jewish and Roma population in order to create an ethnically pure Croatian state," said Tuleković.
She recalled that the suffering of children in the death camps of the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ is another proof of Ustasha’s brutality, which is incomprehensible even after so many years.
"Destruction of children is proof of the Ustasha crime of genocide," said Tuleković.
The authors of the new exhibition in the outdoor space of the Donja Gradina Memorial Zone are museum advisor Tanja Tuleković and senior curator historian Dejan Motl.
This year, the Donja Gradina Memorial Zone is marking 80 years since the last group of Jasenovac camp inmates’ breakout with a series of activities.
