NEVESINJE-GACKO ROAD SECTION GETS BAM 350,000 UPGRADE

NEVESINJE, OCTOBER 27 /SRNA/ - Rehabilitation of a 1.2-kilometer section of the Nevesinje-Gacko main road began today in the Batkovići neighborhood, with BAM 350,000, excluding VAT, to be invested, the contractor, SRNA was told at "Nevesinjeputevi".

The section lies on the way out of Nevesinje towards Gacko and connects the suburban neighborhood of Batkovići with other settlements and nearby, fairly populous villages around Nevesinje.

The works, financed by the public company "Putevi Republike Srpske", include resurfacing the section, applying bitumen emulsion and installing guardrails, and should be completed on Friday, October 30.

Traffic on the section will be slowed until 4 p.m. today, with vehicles taking turns on a single lane. Drivers are advised to take maximum care, adjust their speed and follow the temporary traffic signs.

"Nevesinjeputevi" said pothole repairs are under way on the road between Plana and Berkovići, and similar works will be carried out before winter on other sections the company manages in the municipalities of Nevesinje, Gacko, Berkovići, Bileća and part of Kalinovik.
