EAST SARAJEVO, MARCH 31 /SRNA/ - Last year, the microcredit sector in Republika Srpska achieved a net profit of BAM 51,740,000, which is 25.65 percent more than in 2023, announced the Srpska Banking Agency.
According to preliminary data, the profit of microcredit companies last year amounted to BAM 52,180,000 and is 26.63 percent higher than the previous year, while the loss of microcredit foundations in 2024 amounted to BAM 440,000.
The total income of the microcredit sector last year amounted to BAM 152,235,000 and is 28.33 percent higher than the previous year’s, while total expenses amounted to BAM 94,195,000 and is 29.96 percent higher than in 2023.
Total loans of microcredit organisations based in Republika Srpska in 2024 amounted to BAM 661,029,000 and are 21.39 percent higher than in 2023.
Of the total loans of microcredit organisations based in Srpska last year, BAM 639,529,000 refers to loans of natural persons and is 20.45 percent higher than the previous year, while BAM 21,500,000 refers to loans of legal entities, which is 57.86 percent higher than in 2023.
Of the total loans of natural persons, BAM 590,499,000 refers to long-term loans, and BAM 46,419,000 to short-term loans, while for legal entities, BAM 14,953,000 refers to long-term loans, and BAM 6,498,000 to short-term loans.
