MOST APARTMENTS SOLD IN DOBOJ AND BIJELJINA

BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 10 /SRNA/ - The average price of a newly completed apartment sold in Republika Srpska in the third quarter of this year was BAM 2,851 per square meter, down BAM 86, or 2.9 percent, compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Republika Srpska Bureau of Statistics.

In the third quarter, 912 completed apartments were sold, 170 more than in the same period last year.

In the third quarter, Doboj recorded the highest number of newly completed apartments sold — 212 — at an average price of BAM 2,572 per square meter. Bijeljina followed with 201 apartments sold at an average of BAM 2,600 per square meter, while 111 apartments were sold in Pale at an average price of BAM 2,395 per square meter.

Together, these three municipalities accounted for over 57 percent of all apartment sales in the third quarter, which contributed to the overall decline in prices across Republika Srpska.

In Banja Luka, 168 newly completed apartments were sold, representing 18 percent of the total, with an average price of BAM 3,922 per square meter - up 8.4 percent compared to the same period last year.

The highest average price for a newly completed and sold apartment was recorded in Trebinje, where 22 apartments were sold in the third quarter at an average price of BAM 4,123 per square meter.

The total value of apartment sales in Republika Srpska in the third quarter of this year exceeded BAM 131 million, with construction investors earning the most in Banja Luka, BAM 38 million, or 29 percent of the total for the entire Republika Srpska.

The average size of newly sold apartments, based on usable floor area, in Republika Srpska in the third quarter of this year was 50 square meters.
