MINIĆ: WE ARE NOT CHANGING OUR POSITION, WE DO NOT RECOGNIZE SCHMIDT’S DECISIONS

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ –Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić stated at the special session of the National Assembly regarding the appointment of an acting Republika Srpska president that there has been no change in any Srpska’s official position, as Christian Schmidt’s decisions and the BiH Court’s verdicts are still not recognised.

"For us, Milorad Dodik is the elected president. But understand that there is something called politics and reactions to the situation. Our position toward the United States hasn’t changed, America has. We have good relations with Russia and Hungary," said Minić.

He says that various political processes have led to the current political moment, so that everyone can understand what is happening in BiH.

"We are not debating at the level of who said what, we are discussing positions. I accept some of the opposition’s views. I’ve never made it personal, but we shouldn’t create drama around everything as you are trying to do," Minić emphasized.

He pointed out that he finds the opposition’s contradictory positions unclear, since they previously called for the appointment of an acting president of Republika Srpska, but now say they won’t support it.

"I praised the PDP’s stance, which acknowledged that this office belongs to the SNSD. It's important to work and finish it if the office he mandate indeed belongs to SNSD," said Minić.

Responding to opposition criticism about the work of the National Assembly, Minić said it's untrue that no legal regulations have been passed this year and noted that political processes also influence this.

"A number of legal regulations are ready, and it is simply not true that the National Assembly hasn't been working," Minić stated.
