SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 5 /SRNA/ – Elmedin Konaković is trying to conceal his own political powerlessness through loud rhetoric, while covering up his electoral debacle with talk of removing SNSD from power at the BiH level, Council of Ministers Deputy Chair Staša Košarac told SRNA.
Košarac said that Konaković is the last person who should be lecturing anyone on democracy, electoral legitimacy and the formation of governments.
"A politician who came to power thanks to the intervention by an occupier /Christian/ Schmidt in the FBiH Constitution, and on the back of support from the notorious Michael Murphy, now would like to decide who has the right to participate in government!? This is the height of political hypocrisy!" Košarac stressed.
He pointed out that Konaković keeps advocating overturn of the Serb people's electoral will and removing political representatives who enjoy the support of Republika Srpska citizens is particularly problematic.
"His problem is not only the outright victory of President Milorad Dodik and SNSD, but also the fact that he simply cannot accept that Srpska has its own institutions, its own political legitimacy and the right to decide who will represent it in the joint institutions," Košarac stressed.
Košarac said that neither Konaković nor his appeals to Zagreb and Brussels would have any say in that matter.
"It is evident that Konaković is avoiding accepting the message sent to him by voters in the FBiH on October 4, and continues to dream of a new majority that would bypass the electoral will of the Serb people, presenting his fantasies as political reality. Typical of a perpetual purveyor of empty promises," Košarac stated.
Košarac emphasized that Republika Srpska is not interested in Konaković's fantasies and that his political ultimatums mean absolutely nothing.
"Milorad Dodik and SNSD will decide on the formation of government at the BiH level. That is the political reality, no matter how difficult it may be for Konaković to accept," Košarac stated.
