MECHANISM’S DECISION ON GENERAL MLADIĆ VIOLATES ALL PRINCIPLES OF HUMANITY

BANJALUKA, JULY 30 /SRNA/ - The Organization of Officers of the Army of Republika Srpska stated that the decision of the Mechanism in The Hague to reject the request for the early release of seriously ill General Ratko Mladić has violated all principles of humanity and human dignity established by numerous international conventions.

The Organization condemned the decision as scandalous, adding that "unfortunately, neither law nor justice has ever truly been applied in this institution, but rather grotesque rules that change according to the whims of the global idiots running the tribunal".

"Everything that applied to Bosniaks and Croats, who were treated in The Hague as if they were on vacation in a luxury hotel, did not - and does not - apply to Serbs such as Karadžić, Mladić, Župljanin, Stanišić, and others," the statement reads.

The Organization also stated that the decision demonstrates the utter pointlessness of both the Mechanism and the so-called Hague Tribunal.

"This is an institution whose goal is not to uphold justice or the rule of law, nor to offer any form of satisfaction to all victims, but rather to inflict pain and suffering on the Serbian people – who were brought there in violation of the then-valid norms of international law, and even of God's justice," the Organization emphasized.

The statement further notes that what is even more scandalous is the reasoning provided by the Mechanism's President Graciela Gatti Santana, who disregarding legal standards and the law, persistently imposes new rules of conduct.

"Even if we momentarily set aside the disregard for law and justice - what about basic human values? Can help be denied to someone in need? Can visible human suffering be ignored without causing harm to anyone else?" the Organization asked.

The statement concludes by declaring that justice, law, morality, humanity, and empathy have long ceased to exist in The Hague.

The International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals rejected the urgent request submitted by former Chief of Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska, General Ratko Mladić, for temporary or conditional early release due to his poor health.
