MAZALICA: WORLD PRECEDENT HAS HAPPENED IN BiH, INDIVIDUAL CANNOT MAKE LAWS AND ISSUE SANCTIONS

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 29 /SRNA/ - Head of the Club of SNSD deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Srđan Mazalica, pointed out that a world precedent has taken place in BiH, because an individual cannot make laws and prescribe criminal sanctions, as the foreigner Christian Schmidt did by imposing decisions.

"Laws must be passed by the parliaments where the elected representatives of the people sit," said Mazalica.

He reminded that Schmidt is staying in BiH illegally because he does not have a confirmation of appointment to the UN Security Council.

"Despite everything, the prosecutor's office took his law, which is medieval, in which everyone who does not respect his decisions is sanctioned," Mazalica said in the SRNA podcast.

He emphasized that Sarajevo is now guided by the fact that "Schmidt's Law" has come to life in practice.

"This means that he can now walk around this country and order people what to do. He can order the mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, to erect a monument to the victims of Srebrenica. If he says no, he can receive a sentence of five years in prison," Mazalica pointed out.

He believes that every free man and lawyer must stand up against this type of action.

"Every lawyer who supports what happened to the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, trampled on his own diploma. It is a disaster for a country. Now in that situation, there is someone from Republika Srpska, who is a Serb, saying that Dodik should resign," Mazalica said.

He pointed out that there is no possibility for any conflicts in Bosnia and Herzegovina, given that political and not processes that undermine the safety of citizens are being conducted.

Mazalica stated that there are clear responsibilities and the way of commanding in the Armed Forces of BiH, which are under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Presidency of BiH, where decisions on this issue are made by consensus.

He stated that there is no intention or readiness for any conflict with other police agencies either.

"Our police are there to defend the established order, protected persons and to take care of public order and peace. It is not in anyone's interest to shoot. We also have EUFOR there. They do not have a mandate to undertake anything and are there in the sense of prevention. That is a positive fact, to protect and prevent the possibility of a conflict breaking out," Mazalica said on the SRNA podcast.

He says that Republika Srpska is fighting with legal means and that the constitutional order is protected by the adopted decisions in the National Assembly.

"The opposition constantly scared the public that it would lead to conflicts. Here, there are no conflicts. There won't be any. They have no excuse for their cowardice in making decisions. We are very careful when we take into account the seriousness of the situation we are in," said Mazalica.

MANY DIPLOMAT DO NOT SUPPORT THE WAY MURPHY ACTED AND HOW SCHMIDT BEHAVED

The head of the Club of SNSD deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Srđan Mazalica, said that many diplomats, with whom he spoke, do not support the way in which the former US ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, acted, and how Christian Schmidt behaves, but that they do not speak about it publicly.

"Now that there has been a change in the American administration, an empty space has been established. There is a global shift in power and we can see that from the statements of the EU and NATO alliance that BiH should solve problems on its own. Nobody wants to expose themselves and make decisions on the spur of the moment," Mazalica said in the SRNA podcast.

He pointed out that the EU is also aware that it is not good that BiH is not independent in decision-making 30 years after the signing of the Dayton Agreement.

"They have their own rhetoric, but no one looks favorably on it. This can also be seen through the attitudes of the officials of countries in the region such as Serbia, Croatia and Hungary," Mazalica pointed out.

He says that Republika Srpska is fighting a legal battle and that it would never have initiated these processes if it had been threatened with military or any other intervention that would threaten the interests of Republika Srpska and its citizens.

"The opposition scares the public with that. This is a different situation. There are contacts with the USA, with international organizations, and they are slowly realizing that this is a development of a situation that did not have to happen. They believe that there are more important things than Dodik being sentenced for signing decrees on the promulgation of two laws," Mazalica said.

Mazalica stated that political crises exist in the world and compared to other open conflicts, they are not worthy of attention, that is, the intervention that Sarajevo wishes for.

"Bosniaks have been investing a lot of resources in lobbying, since the beginning of the war. Among other things, because of the mentality where they approached every foreign power or occupier. With the help of those powers, they always oppressed those weaker than themselves. If they invested that energy in attracting foreign investments, we would flourish," says Mazalica.

He states that the goal of Republika Srpska is to bring everything back within the Dayton framework, and indicates that there are mechanisms for that.

"We have an advantage in all of this. We can fight through legal means," Mazalica said.
