MAZALICA: OPPOSITION SHOULD SUPPORT CONCLUSIONS, THERE WILL BE NO EARLY ELECTIONS

BANJA LUKA, August 22 /SRNA/ - Head of the SNSD Caucus in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Srđan Mazalica called on the opposition to support the conclusions of the ruling coalition regarding the rejection of early elections and all decisions of Christian Schmidt.

"You know how things function. There will be no early elections in Republika Srpska. A president who does not have the support of the people will not be accepted," Mazalica said in his closing remarks after the debate on the Information regarding the verdict of the Court of BiH handed down to the President of Republika Srpska and the decision of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the termination of the mandate of President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, as well as on the position of the National Assembly concerning the future activities of the institutions of Republika Srpska.

Mazalica called on the representatives of the opposition not to take part in the elections.

"I am telling you this also in your personal interest," Mazalica emphasized.

Deputies in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska considered the Information regarding the verdict of the Court of BiH handed down to the President of Republika Srpska and the decision of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the termination of the mandate of President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, as well as on the position of the National Assembly concerning the future activities of the institutions of Republika Srpska.

The National Assembly is currently in recess, after which the deputies will consider the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Referendum and Citizens' Initiative, under urgent procedure.
