MASTILOVIĆ AWARDED GREAT SILVER MEDAL OF RUSSIAN HISTORICAL SOCIETY

MOSCOW, JUNE 30 /SRNA/ - The Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Draga Mastilović was awarded the Great Silver Medal of the Russian Historical Society today on the occasion of marking the 160th anniversary of the founding of this distinguished scientific institution.

The decoration was awarded on behalf of the Russian Historical Society by the President of the Society Sergey Yevgenyevich Naryshkin, in recognition of a great scientific contribution to historical science and the development of historiography, the Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska announced.

The award was presented to Mastilović during the session of the General Assembly of the Russian Historical Society, which he attended at the invitation of the Society's leadership, in his capacity as the head of the Representative Office of the Russian Historical Society in Republika Srpska.

"The Great Silver Medal of the Russian Historical Society is one of the highest awards that this society grants to prominent individuals for their exceptional contribution to historical science, the preservation of historical heritage, and the development of international scientific cooperation," the relevant ministry clarified.

The General Assembly gathered representatives of scientific, academic, and cultural institutions, and during the session, the current work of the Russian Historical Society and the directions of its further development were discussed.

The relevant ministry emphasizes that participation in this significant gathering serves as a confirmation of the successful cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Historical Society, as well as a contribution to strengthening international cooperation in the fields of science, history, and the preservation of cultural and historical heritage.
