MARKING NATIVITY OF MOST HOLY THEOTOKOS WITH MINIĆ IN ATTENDANCE

VIŠEGRAD, SEPTEMBER 21 /SRNA/ – This morning's Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in Višegrad marks the beginning of the patron saint's day of the Višegrad Municipality, the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos /Mala Gospojina/, with Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić in attendance.

Following the liturgy, a religious procession was held from the church to Andrićgrad, with a large number of worshippers taking part.

At the municipal building in Andrićgrad, priests performed the traditional ceremony of breaking the slava bread in the presence of municipal administration employees and numerous guests.

Višegrad Mayor Mladen Đurević thanked everyone who contributed to the celebration of the municipality’s patron saint's day with their attendance, emphasizing the importance of preserving tradition, community, and faith.

The celebration was also attended by ministers, members of parliament, representatives of public and social life, as well as representatives of neighbouring and partner municipalities.

As part of the patrin saint's festivities, the mayor hosted a reception for retired employees of the Višegrad Municipal Administration, thanking them for their many years of work and contribution to the development of the local community.

A ceremonial gathering marking the municipality's patron saint's day will be held at the Ivo Andrić Cultural Centre, where awards and recognitions will be presented to deserving individuals and organisations.
