BANJA LUKA,SEPTEMBER 15 /SRNA/ – Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević said that American activist Charlie Kirk stood for values supported by every patriot, and that those who think differently no longer choose the means in confronting people inclined toward Christian and family values.
"Patriots all over the world have become targets. They are ready to use any means in the fight against patriots and against those who are guardians of traditional values. It does not matter whether you put them on trial, persecute them in other ways, or kill them," Kovačević told reporters in front of the Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka, where he lit a candle with citizens and paid tribute to Kirk.
He emphasized that the life of Charlie Kirk, who promoted the idea of Christianity, the importance of family, and patriotism, should not have been cut short.
"We wanted to come here as representatives of the largest political party in Republika Srpska, whose president is Milorad Dodik, but also as representatives of a government institution, to pay tribute to a young man who was killed by those who were bothered only by the fact that he thought differently and because he advocated for the values of a Christian society, family, and love," said Kovačević, also the spokesperson of SNSD.
He noted that he lit a candle for the murdered Kirk, after the initiative came from a group of young people from Banja Luka who decided to honor the American patriot, a close associate of President Donald Trump, in this way.
"Of course we immediately wanted to support that, because we believe that Banja Luka and Republika Srpska should show solidarity with the family and the American people who have experienced this tragedy," Kovačević stressed.
He pointed out that, unfortunately, today there are those who call themselves fighters against fascism, but in that so-called fight they use all fascist methods – from dehumanizing people, to killing them, and justifying murders.
"Republika Srpska does not support such actions, does not want to, and will never be such a society," Kovačević pointed out.
He said that, unfortunately, in BiH, in one part of the country today, there are those who celebrate such an act.
Citizens lit candles in front of the Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka for the murdered American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, one of the key allies of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Charlie Kirk was the executive director of the organization “Turning Point USA” and was considered a conservative Republican and a great friend of the Serbs.
Among other things, he was a vocal opponent of gun control, LGBT rights, abortion, and aid to Ukraine.
He often held forums where he defended his views, frequently engaging in debates with opponents.
