BANJA LUKA, JUNE 8 /SRNA/ - The opposition from Republika Srpska is ready to do anything to gain a seat or two, disregarding the will of the people, said SNSD spokesman Radovan Kovačević.
“That’s why it’s no surprise that, following a meeting with the British Foreign Secretary, which they attended together with their partners from the Bosniak ‘Troika,’ an open admission of their intentions for BiH soon followed in the UK,” Kovačević posted on X.
He added that this was first published in a BBC article he recently cited, and afterward, Prime Minister Keir Starmer openly spoke about their intentions.
“The goal is to deport asylum seekers in the United Kingdom, who have never set foot on the territory of BiH, from high-risk countries such as Iran and Somalia, which the UK security services have identified as potential security and terrorist threats, to BiH and Republika Srpska,” Kovačević pointed out.
That is why, he says, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Council of Ministers and one of the Bosniak leaders announced ahead of the Sarajevo meeting that the UK's role in BiH will become much more active in the coming period.
“Republika Srpska will not allow this, and any decisions will be made exclusively by those elected by the Serb people and the citizens of Srpska,” Kovačević said.
