ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 17 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska is the only state for Serbs, and we do not have any reserve state, said the Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević.
"We do have Serbia, and we love Serbia, but Republika Srpska is our only state," emphasized Kovačević.
Responding on statements of SDA Leader Bakir Izetbegović about defending BiH "in every possible way," Kovačević said that the rhetoric of Bakir Izetbegović, who says that he is "ready to defend something" that no one is attacking, is frivolous.
"We are also ready to defend the Republika Srpska by all means. I think it is frivolous what we are hearing, all this nonsense from Bakir Izetbegović, who says that they are ready to defend, even though no one is asking them for anything or attacking them, to Zukan Helez, who is talking about some `plans B,` or the mayor of a municipality in Sarajevo /Novi Grad Semir/ Efendić, who is running for a member of the BiH Presidency and who says that they will form 15 brigades," Kovačević said.
He stated that these are various nonsense, which will not scare anyone in Republika Srpska.
"You will not thwart us even for a millimeter in fighting for what belongs to us, and Republika Srpska belongs to us, and Republika Srpska claims everything that is written in the Dayton Agreement that belongs to it. All those rights and all those competences written in the Dayton Agreement that belong to us will always belong to us," emphasized Kovačević.
If they continue to behave in such a way, he added, they can only lead to more belonging to Srpska.
"I don't mean territories, but more rights and more competences," Kovačević explained.
He reiterated that he will not frighten anyone with such nonsense and slander, and that Republika Srpska will continue to wage a determined political struggle for the preservation of all its rights.
"We will not be swayed by any threats from those small people who are trying to be bigger in this way. You will not be bigger, you will remain miserable as you are," Kovačević told RTRS.
He reiterated that Republika Srpska remains determined in the fight for its political rights, for its status and autonomy, and in the fight to preserve everything that belongs to it.
"Republika Srpska will certainly not give up on that," said Kovačević.
