BANJA LUKA, APRIL 22 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska opposition representatives prove daily that, in an unbreakable coalition with /Christian/ Schmidt, they are ready to put their own interests and the possibility of gaining personal privileges above the interests and rights of Republika Srpska, SNSD spokesman Radovan Kovačević pointed out.

"That's why they ignore the fact, or even worse, they don't even know that it's not the Republika Srpska government that doesn't recognize Schmidt as a high representative, but rather the UN Security Council. His appointment was on the agenda of one of the UN Security Council sessions, but he simply didn't get the necessary support.

The Dayton Peace Agreement, i.e. its Annex 10, determined that the relevant UN Security Council resolution is a mandatory condition for the appointment of a high representative. That's why all high representatives fulfilled that key condition," emphasized Kovačević.

Republika Srpska, as one of the signatories of Annex 10, stated Kovačević, must not allow such a rigid violation of the Agreement, because in that way it would degrade its own capacity and destroy its guaranteed rights.

"We see that the leadership of the SDS is not at all interested in the capacity and guaranteed rights of Republika Srpska, especially if it could, against the will of the people, improve the capacity and privileges of a few SDS individuals and the opposition.

That's why for them, it is enough for Schmidt's legitimacy that, as /Marinko/ Božović claims, `they met with him, thus certain officials from our region recognised him`. Because of that, not caring about the Dayton Accords and the rights and capacity of Republika Srpska, they shamelessly recognise him as a high representative," Kovačević posted on X.

To make this political insolence even worse, Kovačević pointed out, Schmidt's attack on Republika Srpska and the constitutional order of BiH, embodied in the anti-Dayton, unconstitutional and undemocratic imposition of laws, is justified and relativized by the shameless in such a way that it was only a response to the politics of Republika Srpska.

Therefore, he added, the attack on Republika Srpska and the Dayton Peace Agreement was, according to the geniuses from the opposition, a justified response to the policy of defending Republika Srpska and protecting the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"I usually do not use harsh words, but betrayal is a mild word for this kind of opposition's policy," emphasized Kovačević, who is also a deputy in the Serb People Caucus of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly.

SDS official and mayor of East Ilidža municipality, Marinko Božović, told a federal media that Christian Schmidt met with some officials from our region and if they recognize him in such a way, he recognizes him according to the same principles.

The imposition of laws by Schmidt is also acceptable to Božović, claiming that, as he says, this is a response to the policy the Republika Srpska government once practiced.
