BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 22 /SRNA/ - In the yard of a house in the Banjaluka neighborhood of Obilićevo, a kiwi plant has borne fruit — an Asian fruit unusual for this region.

Residents of the street where the kiwi plant has borne fruit told SRNA that they are also considering getting seedlings of this plant, which originates from China.

"We're thinking about planting it because, besides its juicy and tasty fruit, it also provides thick shade, like grapevines," citizens told us.

Kiwi plant vines are increasingly being planted in this region because they are resistant to cold. Seedlings on the market cost around BAM 20. The world's largest kiwi producers are China, New Zealand, Italy, and Chile, and the harvest season is usually in November.

Kiwi fruit is rich in vitamins C, K, and E.
