LAKTAŠI, JUNE 6 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Interior Minister Siniša Karan has stated today in Trn near Laktaši that the Ministry of Interior /MoI/ has the capacity and strength to tackle the most challenging security tasks, which was demonstrated through a police tactical drill simulating a terrorist attack on a protected individual.

"The theme of the drill represents one of the most difficult and serious security challenges faced by police forces worldwide. This drill demonstrated our readiness," Karan told the press after the drill.

He notes that participants showed synchronization and how trained they are and emphasizes that this was an opportunity to assess what could be improved and whether more training and equipment were required.

Karan says this was one of a series of activities conducted by the MoI in accordance with constitutional and legal terms and that the exercise demonstrated that citizens can trust the Srpska police, which is a guarantor of their personal safety and the constitutional order of Republika Srpska.

"Today, we live in a time when the constitutional order of Republika Srpska is seriously under attack - through attacks on its institutions and leadership. This drill demonstrates our capacity and strength to enable them to carry out their official duties," Karan said.

"In this way, we helped each other to carry out our regular duties," said Bojić.
