RUDO, NOVEMBER 13 /SRNA/ – The Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan has stated that the "Kontejn Emboks" factory in Rudo represents a model formula for success, a symbiosis of education, local community and economy.
"This is, in the true sense, a formula for success — in a small municipality we have a secondary technical school in mechanical engineering, and a factory that requires workers of exactly that profession, with nearly all young people employed. This brings development to the entire municipality," Karan told reporters after visiting the "Kontejn Emboks" facility together with SNSD President Milorad Dodik.
He added that this is the best proof of how successful this project is and the right way to educate the workforce.
"Industry demands this kind of education development, while the local community provides its capacities. Without such factories, young people would probably be leaving," said Karan.
The owner of the "Kontejn Emboks" company Sandra Đukanović said she is happy to already see progress in this factory, which employs more than 50 people and has seen major investments over the past year.
"As domestic investors, we are proud to have launched an industrial operation in the municipality of Rudo, one of the least developed in Republika Srpska. I am confident that both the demographic and business situations will soon look completely different," Đukanović said.
The company "Kontejn Emboks", an investor from Laktaši, employs workers exclusively from the Rudo area.
The firm is engaged in the production of underground and aboveground waste containers.
The former "Autodijelovi" facilities have been completely renovated following the arrival of the investor who launched "Kontejn Emboks".
More than BAM 10 million have been invested in the factory.
