KAMMENOS: GENERAL MLADIĆ WAS AN ORTHODOX PATRIOT

ATHENS, AUGUST 28 /SRNA/ - Former Chief of the Main Staff of the Republika Srpska Army, General Ratko Mladic, was an Orthodox patriot who remained proud to the very end, former Greek Defense Minister Panagiotis Kammenos said.

“I am saying goodbye to my dear friend, General Mladić. He was an Orthodox patriot, never a criminal, and remained steadfast and proud until his final moment,” Kammenos wrote on X.

Kammenos said that General Mladic had never been forgiven for his unwavering stance and that he had been persecuted for it until the very end.

General Ratko Mladic died yesterday at the age of 83 in a detention facility in The Hague.
