BELGRADE, MARCH 18 /SRNA/ - The institutions of Republika Srpska have demonstrated that they have the strength and will to firmly stand against the forces of the past and say "no" to Ustashism and Nazism on their territory, which is in line with the freedom-loving and anti-fascist tradition of the Serbian people, retired colonel of the Republika Srpska Army Milan Jolović told SRNA.
Jolović stated that if the National Assembly of Republika Srpska had not adopted the Resolution condemning and deeming unacceptable the ideological relativization and revitalization of the ideology of the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/, veterans of Srpska would have taken matters into their own hands and prevented monuments featuring the Ustasha checkerboard symbol from being placed at sites of Serbian suffering during the wars of the 1990s, such as Modran near Derventa, and would have stopped the glorification of crimes.
According to him, no one is reacting to the fact that in Croatia monuments with any Serbian symbols are being systematically destroyed and that the NDH is openly glorified at stadiums and public gatherings, which, he claims, has led Croatia, along with Ukraine and the Baltic states, with the blessing of European Union, to become a "hotbed of Nazism".
"That Nazism will no longer be exported to Republika Srpska. Nothing should be viewed only locally. The institutions of Srpska have the strength and will to prevent this. And it is time to prevent it," Jolović said.
