JATRAS: DODIK IS AN EXAMPLE THAT THE CAMPAIGNS OF POLITICAL PERVERSION OF JUSTICE ARE OFTEN UNSUCCESSFUL

WASHINGTON, 2. APRIL /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik is an example that the political perversion of justice, as a tactics to eliminate political forces seen as "threatening" the anti-national Euro-Atlantic international order and corporate-neoliberal regimes, is often unsuccessful, said the prominent American analyst and former diplomat James Jatras.

He told SRNA that the tactics was often unsuccessful in the case of the President of Srpska, but the campaign against him continues.

Jatras assessed that the verdict against President of the National Rally group in the National Assembly of France Marine Le Pen is just the latest example of that kind of political perversion of "justice" and that the lawfare campaigns against politicians and parties is an indication of how weak and vulnerable the existing order believes itself to be and how terrified the ruling establishment is of their own people.

"Particularly stunning is the hypocrisy that these actions are being taken by a political system that pretends to be `democratic` but which is most of all terrified of their own voters.

As globalist fake democracies become more and more unviable, we will see additional examples in other countries to limit available alternatives," Jatras pointed out.

According to Jatras, high on the list is an expected move in the near future to eliminate AfD in Germany.

"We should also expect additional moves against Viktor Orban in Hungary, but the question is for how long and to what extent these `lawfare` tactics can be successful.

In the United States, they have failed /so far/ against Donald Trump and they have failed against Milorad Dodik in Republika Srpska, but the campaign against him continues," said Jatras.

He stated that these attempts were partly successful against the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Salvini, while the campaign against Călin Georgescu in Romania is successful so far.

"Of course, the most notorious example is the ban - so far, successful - on the candidacy of Calin Georgescu, who was the favorite to win Romania's presidency," Jatras reminded.

The former diplomat emphasized that it is still unknown what happens when all avenues to change through orderly electoral mechanisms are administratively closed off.

"Will the demoralized public simply submit, or will other paths open up as stagnation and corruption undermine the very system the ruling elites are desperately trying to perpetuate?" asked Jatras.

He added that "the specter of national populism is haunting Europe".
