IT IS AN HONOR TO HAVE A GUEST LIKE ISRAELI WRITER IDDO NETANYAHU

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - President Milorad Dodik said that it was an honor to have a guest such as Israeli writer Iddo Netanyahu in Republika Srpska, the author of the book Yoni's Last Battle.

"We hosted Iddo Netanyahu, a great Israeli writer and brother, at the presentation of his book Yoni's Last Battle. It is a book about courage, sacrifice, and a man who gave his life for his people. It is an honour to have such a guest in Republika Srpska," Dodik wrote on X.

Dodik noted that Iddo Netanyahu said in Banja Luka that Israel regards the Serbs with respect for their assistance to the Jewish people during the Second World War, and added that this was no coincidence, but a matter of history and character.

He said that the Serb and Jewish peoples understand each other because they have both gone through struggle, suffering and the defense of their right to exist on their own land.

"Republika Srpska values Israel and its people. Friendship built on sacrifice, honor and mutual respect lasts longer than any day-to-day politics. We cherish such ties and will continue to strengthen them," Dodik said.
