INTERNATIONAL LUXURY TRAIN TRAVELS THROUGH REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

DOBOJ, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ - The international luxury tourist train operated by the Hungarian State Railways traveled on the infrastructure of Republika Srpska Railways during its journey from Venice to Istanbul, the Republika Srpska Railways company said.

The 14-car train, carrying around 100 passengers, traveled last night from Dobrljin through Novi Grad, Prijedor and Banjaluka.

In the morning, the train reached Doboj, from where it continued along the route through Sarajevo, Belgrade, Skopje, Sofia and Plovdiv to Istanbul.

The Republika Srpska Railways said they were pleased to have once again been included, together with Croatian Railways and the Federation of BiH Railways, on the European map of attractive railway tourism routes.

The company said that such cooperation and international train services provide an opportunity for Republika Srpska Railways to demonstrate the readiness of its infrastructure, as well as the professionalism of its operational staff in handling special train compositions and meeting the high standards of international operators.
