INTERIOR MINISTRY ENTERED INTO REGISTER OF CERTIFICATION AUTHORITIES OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 26 /SRNA/ – The Ministry of the Interior /MOI/ of Republika Srpska has been entered into the Register of Certification Authorities of Republika Srpska, following the creation of technical and legal preconditions in the previous period, the Ministry confirmed to SRNA.

The Ministry emphasized that, through the EU IPA support programs, the necessary equipment for issuing advanced digital certificates was donated, while the Department for Information and Communication Affairs, with the support of the Department for Legal and Personnel Affairs, developed a system for issuing digital certificates.

"In the first phase, digital certificates were issued to MOI officials, while in the next phase, certificates will be issued to citizens. This represents a prerequisite for providing electronic services", the Ministry of the Interior of Srpska has stressed.

Through its E-Services platform, the MOI of Srpska has already enabled electronic appointment scheduling for passport applications and collection. Following its entry into the CA Register, the Ministry has now established the necessary conditions for offering additional electronic services within its jurisdiction, which are currently in the final stages of development.
