SREBRENICA, SEPTEMBER 2 /SRNA/ - Families of Serb victims thanked the councillors of the Srebrenica Municipal Assembly Collegium for supporting the initiative to remove Faruk Đozić, head of the Department of General Administration, who insulted General Ratko Mladić on social media.

Branimir Kojić, president of the Srebrenica Organisation of Families of Captured and Fallen Soldiers and Missing Civilians, told SRNA that the Collegium had supported the Organization's initiative to remove Đozić from office and have it placed on the agenda of the parliamentary session on October 8.

He added that the families would monitor the situation, but expressed doubt that the item would receive the required majority after the elections. In that case, he said, they would take to the streets and express their dissatisfaction until Đozić was removed from office.

According to him, no one has the right to insult in Republika Srpska, where they receive a salary, someone who was at the helm of the Army of Republika Srpska, which created Srpska, while Đozić and others like him enjoy all the privileges there today.

“Representatives of our organisation will request to attend the assembly session at which Đozić’s removal will be discussed, as we have the right to be there. Serbs did not die in vain only for anyone to be able to insult them today, nor for anyone to play politics using Ratko Mladić’s name,” Kojić said.

He therefore appealed to Serb councillors to, above all, vote for Đozić’s removal.
